Toyia Tucker—Columbus, Georgia SubChapter Director

Toyia Tucker is a native of Columbus, GA. The essence of her life’s journey has been to serve people by volunteering and mentoring. She joined the United States Air Force on March 19, 1997 and medically retired in September of 2009 after 12 years of active duty service.  She was stationed at Langley AFB in Hampton, VA; Gunter AFB in Montgomery, AL; Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany; and Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, AK.

In March of 2010, Toyia returned to Gunter AFB to start her new career as Systems Administrator for the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).  While at the MEPS, the accessibility to aid so many teenagers with their military career path helped determine her next career goal of working in the non-profit field to help mentor teens.  In 2014, she received her bachelors in psychology from the University of Phoenix.

Toyia Tucker currently works for Martin Army Community Hospital on Ft Benning located in Columbus, GA.  She manages all telecommunications for the hospital and outside clinics.  Along with her full-time job in telecommunications, she is also an active board member for The Family Center of Columbus, which provides services to both children and adults via programs such as Big Brother Big Sisters and Family Counseling.
